Song of Solomon Chapter 6

Song of Solomon 6:1 The Women of Jerusalem said, Beautiful woman, where has your lover gone? Which way did your lover go? Tell us so that we can help you look for him.

Song of Solomon 6:2 She said, My lover has gone down to his garden, where sweet-smelling spices grow.  There, he will eat, and he will enjoy the lilies.

Song of Solomon 6:3 I belong to my lover, and my lover belongs to me.  He is the one feeding among the lilies.

Song of Solomon 6:4 He says, My darling, you are as beautiful as Tirzah, as pleasant as Jerusalem, You are inspiring as an army with flags.

Song of Solomon 6:5 Don’t look at me!  Your eyes make me tremble!  Your hair is like a flock of goats running down Mount Gilead.

Song of Solomon 6:6 Your teeth are white like sheep just coming from their bath.  They all give birth to twins.  Not one of them has lost a baby.

Song of Solomon 6:7 Your temples under your veil are like slices of pomegranate.

Song of Solomon 6:8 There might be 60 queens and 80 slave women, and virgins too many to count,

Song of Solomon 6:9 but there is only one woman for me, my dove, my perfect one. She is the favorite of her mother, her mother’s favorite child. The young women see her and praise her. Even the queens and slave women praise her.

Song of Solomon 6:10 The woman say, Who is that coming to us like a new day?  She is as beautiful as the moon, as bright as the sun.  She is so beautiful that we start to tremble.

Song of Solomon 6:11 She said, I went down to the grove of walnut trees, to see the fruit of the valley, to see if the vines were in bloom, to see if the pomegranates had budded.

Song of Solomon 6:12 I do not know what happened to me. It was as if she made me ride on the best war-chariots of my people.’

Song of Solomon 6:13The women say: Shulammite woman, you must come back, you must come back, you must come back.  We want to look at you. She says: Why do you want to look at me? I am the Shulammite woman. Why do you want to look at me when I dance in the camp of the soldiers?’

2nd John Chapter 1

2nd John 1:1 I, John the Elder, write this letter to the lady chosen by God and to her children. I truly love all of you. And I am not the only one. All those who know the truth love you in the same way

2nd John 1:2 Because the truth that lives in our hearts, and it will always be with us.

2nd John 1:3 Grace, mercy, and peace will be with you from God the Father and from his Son, Jesus Christ, as we live in truth and love.

2nd John 1:4 I was very happy to learn about some of your children. I am happy that they are following the way of truth, just as the Father commanded us.

2nd John 1:5 And now, dear lady, I tell you: We should all love each other. This is not a new command. It is the same command we had from the beginning.

2nd John 1:6 If we love each other, then we do what God commands us to do. It is the law that He gave us from the beginning and that is what we must do.

2nd John 1:7 Many false teachers are in the world now. They refuse to say that Jesus Christ came to earth and became a man. Anyone who refuses to accept this fact is a false teacher and is the antichrist.

2nd John 1:8 Be careful! Don’t lose the reward that you have worked for. Be careful so that you will receive all of that reward.

2nd John 1:9 Anyone who leaves the teaching of Christ has no relationship with God. But anyone who remains in the teaching of Christ has a relationship with both the Father and the Son.

2nd John 1:10 If people come to you and they want to teach you something that is not the same as what Christ has taught you, then you must not welcome them into your home or even send then away with Gods blessings.

2nd John 1:11 If you give them God’s blessing, then you are helping them to do wrong and then you also are doing wrong.

2nd John 1:12 There are a lot of other things that I want to say to you, but I do not want to write them in a letter. I hope I can come to you, and then we can talk, and we will all be very happy.

2nd John 1:13 The children of your sister who was chosen by God send you their love.

Exodus Chapter 3

Exodus 3:1 Moses’ father in law was named Jethro.  Jethro was a priest of Midian. Moses took care of Jethro’s sheep. Moses led the sheep to the backside of the desert. He went to a mountain called Horeb, the mountain of God.

Exodus 3:2 On that mountain, Moses saw the angel of the Lord in a burning bush. Moses saw that the bush was on fire, but it was not being destroyed.

Exodus 3:3 Moses said to himself: I will go closer to the bush and see why the bush could continue burning without being burned up.

Exodus 3:4 When the Lord saw Moses coming to the bush, He called him from inside the bush and said: Moses, Moses. And Moses said: Here I am.

Exodus 3:5 The Lord said to Moses: Do not come closer. Take off your shoes because the place that you are standing on is holy ground.

Exodus 3:6 I am the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. Moses covered his face because he was afraid to look at God.

Exodus 3:7 Then the Lord said to Moses: I have seen the troubles my people have suffered in Egypt. I have heard them crying, asking Me to save them from the Egyptians who force them to work. I know they suffer and I, God, feel sorry for them.

Exodus 3:8 I, God, want to save them from the Egyptians. I, God, want to bring them out of this land and take them to a good and great land, a land where there is a lot of food, milk and honey. It is the land where the Canaanites are living now with the Hittites, the Amorites, the Perizzites, the Hivites and the Jebusites.

Exodus 3:9 I, God, have heard the Israelites pray, and they have asked Me to help them. I, God, have seen the way the Egyptians have made life hard for them.

Exodus 3:10 I, God, want you, Moses, to go to Pharaoh and to take my people, the Israelites, out of Egypt.

Exodus 3:11 Moses said to God: I am not an important man. I can not go to Pharaoh and bring the children of Israel out of Egypt.

Exodus 3:12 God answered Moses: I, God, will be with you. I, God, will give you a sign that will prove to you that I, God, have sent you. When you bring the people of Israel out of Egypt, you will worship God on this mountain.

Exodus 3:13 Then Moses said to God: When I go to the children of Israel and I tell them: The God of your grandfathers has sent me to you, they will ask me, Moses: What is his name?  What must I, Moses, tell them?

Exodus 3:14 Then God said to Moses: My name is: I Am Who, I Am. You must tell the children of Israel: I Am has sent me, Moses, to you.

Exodus 3:15 God also said to Moses: You must tell the children of Israel: The Lord God of your grandfathers has sent me, Moses, to you. He is the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob.  This will always be my name. It is how I want the children of Israel to remember me from now on.

Exodus 3:16 Go and call the leaders of Israel together and tell them that the Lord, the God of their grandfathers, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, appeared to you, Moses, and gave you, Moses, this is a message from me, God: I have been watching over you and have seen what people in Egypt have done to you.

Exodus 3:17 God said He has decided that to take you away from the troubles the children of Israel are suffering in Egypt. God will take you, the children of Israel, into the land of the Canaanites and the Hittites and the Amorites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites. It is a land that has a lot of food, milk and honey.

Exodus 3:18 The leaders of Israel will listen to you, Moses. Then you, Moses and the leaders must go to the king of Egypt and tell him: The Lord, the God of the Hebrews, has talked to us. We beg you, King, let us go into the desert 3 days journey. We want to sacrifice offerings to the Lord our God.

Exodus 3:19 I know that the king of Egypt will not let you go. He will not do it even if I punish him.

Exodus 3:20 I, God, will use my great power against Egypt. I will cause amazing things to happen in Egypt. After I do this, The King of Egypt will let you go.

Exodus 3:21 I will make the people of Egypt friendly towards children of Israel, and the people of Egypt will give the children of Israel many gifts when you go.

Exodus 3:22 All the children of women Israel will ask their Egyptian neighbors and any woman living in her house for gifts of silver, gold, and fine clothing. Then you will put those gifts on your sons and on your daughters. The children of Israel shall plunder the Egyptians.

John Capter 4

John 4:1 Jesus knew that the Pharisees had heard the report that he was making and baptizing more disciples than John.

John 4:2 It was not Jesus who baptized the people. It was his disciples who baptized.

John 4:3 Then Jesus left the land of Judea and He went back to Galilee.

John 4:4 On the way to Galilee, Jesus had to go country of Samaria.

John 4:5 In Samaria Jesus came to the town called Sychar. Sychar was near the field that Jacob gave to his son Joseph.

John 4: 6 Jacob’s water well was there. Jesus was tired from his long trip, so he sat down on the well edge. It was about noon time.

John 4:7 A woman from Samaria came to get water and Jesus asked her: Give me some water to drink.

John 4:8 Jesus was alone because his disciples had gone into the town to buy food.

John 4:9 The Samaritan woman said to Jesus: You are a Jew and I am a woman of Samaria. Why do You ask me for a drink of water? She said the Jews have nothing to do with Samaritans

John 4:10 Jesus said to the Samaritan woman: If you knew about God’s gift of eternal life, and who it is who says, Give Me a drink, you would have asked Him to give you to drink, and He would have given you living water of eternal life.

John 4:11 The Samaritan woman said, Sir, where will you get that living water? The well is very deep, and you have nothing to get water with.

John 4:12 You are better than our grandfather Jacob. Jacob and his sons and his animals drank the water then he gave this water-well to us.

John 4:13 Jesus said to her: Anyone who drinks the water from this water-well will become thirsty again.

John 4:14 But when someone drinks the water that I give him, he will never be thirsty again. The water 0that I give will be like a fountain inside of him that gives eternal life.

John 4:15 The Samaritan woman said to Jesus: Sir, give me some of that water. Then I will not become thirsty again and I will not have to come here again to get water.

John 4:16 Jesus said to the Samaritan woman: Go and call your husband and come back here.

John 4 17 The Samaritan woman said to Jesus: I do not have a husband. And Jesus said: You are right to say you have no husband when you said I do not have a husband.

John 4:18 That because, you have had 5 husbands and the man you live with now is not your husband. You speak the truth.

John 4:19 The Samaritan woman said to Jesus: Sir, I see you are a prophet.

John 4:20 Our grandfathers worshipped God on this mountain, but you Jews say Jerusalem is the right place where we must worship God.

John 4:21 Jesus said to the Samaritan woman: Woman, believe Me, there will come a time when people worship the Father, but not on this mountain or in Jerusalem.

John 4:22 You Samaritans worship something you don’t understand. We Jews understand what we worship, since salvation comes from the Jews.

John 4:23 I said there will come a time and that time is here now. When the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth. And these are the kind of people the Father wants to be his worshipers.

John 4:24 God is spirit. So the people who worship him must worship in spirit and truth

John 4:25The Samaritan woman said: I know the Messiah will come. He is the Christ. When he comes, he will explain everything to us.

John 4:26 Jesus said to the Samaritan Woman: I am that One, the Messiah, and I am speaking to you now.

John 4:27 Jesus’ disciples came back. They saw Jesus talking to the Samaritan woman and they were surprised. But not one of them asked Jesus what He wanted from her or why He was talking to her?

John 4:28 The Samaritan woman put down her water pot and left it there and she went into the town. She called the people and said:

John 4:29 You must come and see. There is a Man who told me everything that I have done. I think maybe He is the Christ.

John 4:30 The people of the town went to where Jesus was.

John 4:31 While the woman was in town, Jesus’ followers were begging him, Teacher, eat something.

John 4:32 But Jesus said to them: I have food to eat, but you do not know that kind of food.

John 4:33 The disciples asked each other: Did someone bring Him some food?

John 4:34 Jesus said, My food is to do what the Father has sent me to do, and to finish the work that my father has told me to do.

John 4:35 When you plant, you always say, Four more months to wait before we gather the grain. But I tell you, open your eyes, and look at the fields. They are ready for harvesting now

John 4:36 The people who gather the wheat will get paid.  They are gathering crops for eternal life. The people who sow and the people who gather the wheat will be happy together.

John 4:37 It is true what people say: One person sows the wheat and another person comes and gathers it.

John 4:38 I sent you to gather a crop that you did not work for. Others did the work, and you will get the profit from their work.

John 4:39 Many of the Samaritans in that town believe in Jesus because the Samaritan woman told them that Jesus had told her everything she had done.

John 4:40 Then the Samaritans came to Jesus and they asked Him to stay with them, so Jesus stayed there for 2 more days.

John 4:41 Many more Samaritans believe in Jesus when they heard the things He said.

John 4:42 The people of the town said to the Samaritan woman: We first believed because you told us about Jesus. But now we have listened to Him ourselves. Now we know that He is the Saviour of the world.

John 4:43 2 days later Jesus left and went to Galilee.

John 4:44 Jesus said: Other people listen to a prophet, but his own people do not think he is important.

John 4:45 When he arrived in Galilee, the people there welcomed him. They had been at the Passover festival in Jerusalem and had seen everything he did there.

John 4:46 Jesus went back to the town of Cana in Galilee. This is where He had changed water into wine. There was an official whose son was ill in the town of Capernaum.

John 4:47 The people told the officer that Jesus had come from Judea to Galilee. He went to Jesus and begged Jesus to come to Capernaum to heal his son because his son was very sick and soon will die.

John 4:48 Jesus said to the officer: You always want to see signs and miracles. If you do not see signs and miracles, you will not believe.

John 4:49 The officer said to Jesus: Please come to my child quickly before he dies.

John 4:50 Jesus said to him: You may go home. Your son will not die. The officer believed what Jesus said to him and he went home.

John 4:51 As the officer went home, his servants came to him. They told him that his child was well.

John 4:52 The officer asked his servants what time the child had got better and they said: Yesterday afternoon at the 7th hour (one o’clock) the fever was gone.

John 4:53 The father then remembered that it was at that time when Jesus said to him: Your son will not die. The officer and his family then believe in Jesus.

John 4:54 This was the 2nd miracle that Jesus did in the town of Cana after He went from Judea to Galilee
