2nd John 1:1 I, John the Elder, write this letter to the lady chosen by God and to her children. I truly love all of you. And I am not the only one. All those who know the truth love you in the same way
2nd John 1:2 Because the truth that lives in our hearts, and it will always be with us.
2nd John 1:3 Grace, mercy, and peace will be with you from God the Father and from his Son, Jesus Christ, as we live in truth and love.
2nd John 1:4 I was very happy to learn about some of your children. I am happy that they are following the way of truth, just as the Father commanded us.
2nd John 1:5 And now, dear lady, I tell you: We should all love each other. This is not a new command. It is the same command we had from the beginning.
2nd John 1:6 If we love each other, then we do what God commands us to do. It is the law that He gave us from the beginning and that is what we must do.
2nd John 1:7 Many false teachers are in the world now. They refuse to say that Jesus Christ came to earth and became a man. Anyone who refuses to accept this fact is a false teacher and is the antichrist.
2nd John 1:8 Be careful! Don’t lose the reward that you have worked for. Be careful so that you will receive all of that reward.
2nd John 1:9 Anyone who leaves the teaching of Christ has no relationship with God. But anyone who remains in the teaching of Christ has a relationship with both the Father and the Son.
2nd John 1:10 If people come to you and they want to teach you something that is not the same as what Christ has taught you, then you must not welcome them into your home or even send then away with Gods blessings.
2nd John 1:11 If you give them God’s blessing, then you are helping them to do wrong and then you also are doing wrong.
2nd John 1:12 There are a lot of other things that I want to say to you, but I do not want to write them in a letter. I hope I can come to you, and then we can talk, and we will all be very happy.
2nd John 1:13 The children of your sister who was chosen by God send you their love.
