Old Testament
Psalms 95
Come, let us sing praise to the Lord! Let us shout praises to the Rock who saves us.
Let us come and thank The Lord. Let us sing happy songs of praise to the Lord.
For the Lord is a great God, the great King ruling over all the other gods.
The deepest caves and the highest mountains belong to him.
The sea belongs to The Lord, because The Lord has made it, and The Lord has made the land with his hands.
Come, let us bow down and worship The Lord. Let us kneel before The Lord because The Lord is the One who made us.
The Lord is our God and we are his people. The Lord is our Shepherd and we are his sheep. Today, if only you would obey him!
Do not harden your hearts, as in the rebellion, As in the day of trial in the desert.
Your grandfathers tested Me; They tried Me, and they saw My work.
I, The Lord, was angry with that generation for 40 years. I said: They are a people whose hearts turn away from me. And they do not know My ways.
So in my anger I, The Lord made this vow: They will never enter my land of rest.
