Colossians 4

1Masters, treat your servants in a fair and right way, because you know that you also have a Master in heaven.

2Keep on praying. Stay awake as you pray, and give thanks.

3And pray for us too, that God will open a door for our message, so that we can tell the secret of Christ. It is for this that I am in prison.

4Pray that I will make it clear, as I should.

5Be wise in the way you act toward those who are not believers. Make good use of every chance you have.

6Let your words always be kind, and seasoned, like food with salt, so that you will know how to answer everyone.

7Tychicus will tell you all about how I am doing. He is a dear brother, a faithful worker, and a fellow servant in the Lord.

8I am sending him to you for this very reason: so that you may know how we are, and so that he may encourage your hearts.

9He is coming with Onesimus, our faithful and dear brother, who is one of you. They will tell you everything that is happening here.

10Aristarchus, who is in prison with me, sends you greetings. So does Mark, the cousin of Barnabas. (You have already been told: if Mark comes to you, welcome him.)

11Jesus, who is also called Justus, also greets you. These are the only Jewish believers who work with me for God's kingdom, and they have been a comfort to me.

12Epaphras, who is one of you and a servant of Christ Jesus, sends you greetings. He always prays hard for you, asking that you will stand firm — fully grown and sure of everything God wants.

13I can tell you that he works hard for you and for the people in Laodicea and Hierapolis.

14Luke, our dear friend the doctor, and Demas send you greetings.

15Give my greetings to the brothers and sisters in Laodicea, and to Nympha and the church that meets in her house.

16After this letter is read to you, make sure it is also read in the church of the Laodiceans, and that you also read the letter coming from Laodicea.

17Tell Archippus: Be sure to finish the work the Lord gave you to do.

18I, Paul, write this greeting with my own hand. Remember that I am in prison. May grace be with you. Amen.
